Prayer: believed that Lord Vishnu incarnates whenever injustice and evil forces rise in the world.Often idols are found in temples with idolatry. Some of the avatars of Lord Vishnu seated here named Alkondamal are carved into the statue. This is worshiped as the sourceThe idol is divided into three sections and the upper part has the images of Lord Krishna engraved on the two sides of the sun and the moon.Every year on 2rd, 3th and 4th of Thai month, Tamil Thirunal festival is celebrated here. During this festival, devotees bring their cows milk, offer abhishekam to Alkondamal, get holy water and theertha. They sprinkle these on other livestock in their village. Their belief is that if they do this, they will not get diseases.

Although this temple has Tirumal as its head, the special feature of this temple is the presence of Nandi as in temples.Devotees present cow and calf effigies made of clay and painted to the cattle idols in the temple premises. They open their eyes and worship the idols they have brought with coconut waterThe ears are changed to look like maces to symbolize Salangai Madu. Later, the cows are trained to dance to Urumi music. In front of it, they hold two long bamboo poles high and dance to the music by tying salang on their legs. These rituals are something that cannot be found anywhere else.
