Parigaram: There is a mythological history of the greatness of Vanmika Nathar. Thirumal defeated all the gods by his power who had received a bow called Sivathanusu from the Yaga Kunda, was chased to attack the gods, he finally reached the Thiruvarur site and became exhausted.Then he fell asleep as if he was sitting on the floor with a bow.While he was asleep, the gods took the anthill and unknowingly cut off Will`s bow.The gods worshiped Kayilainathan, fearing that Thirumal would be beheaded by the force of the bow and arrow.According to Thiruvarur Talamakamithyam, Eesan also rose from the abyss with the title of `Putridam` and revived Tirumala and blessed him with the title of `Puritan` in the form of a linga.
