Parigaram: * Thiruvarur District, Valangaiman Taluk, Alangudi is the holy abode of Jupiter and a divine place where one could propitiate Jupiter. * The lord of this sthalam is Suyambu * Thiruvidaimaruthur viz Matthiarjunam is the abode lord Mahalinga Peruman For whom this sthalam is the parivara sthalam * This temple is the fourth in the Pancha Aranya Sthalams (holy places of five jungles). Sayaratchai (Pooja performed in the evenings) is very famous in this sthalam * Rishi Viswamitra, Ashtathikku Balagargal, Agasthiyar, Pulasthiyar, Kagapujandar, Sugarbramma Magarishi and AdhiShankara have worshipped this sthalam. * Musukuntha Chakkravarthi, Suvasanan and Sundarar have also worshipped this lord. * The divine poet Thirugnanasambandar have been Sung a Pathigam in Thevaram. * Apparadigal has sung in praise of lord Abadhsagayeshwarar in his Thiruveezhimizhalai Thiruthandagam * The divine poet Thirugnanasambandar has blessed this sthalam as Ezilar Erumpoolai. Services

Annadhanam: The temple administration is providing Annathanam Daily to 100 devotees and 200 devotees on Thursdays. General public could also participate in the Annathanam scheme by paying Rs.3,500/- for daily feeding on any day as chosen by them. Rs.7,000/- for feeding on Thursdays. Apart from that the General Public could also deposit a lumpsum amount of Rs.70,000/- to feed the devotees on any day chosen by them such as birth day, wedding day or on any auspicious day etc.,. The amount will be deposited in a fixed deposit and the interest accrued will be utilized for feeding the devotees. The temple administration would perform special archana on the day chosen by them and vibuthi and Kumkum prasadam will be sent to the address given by the devotees. General public are invited to utilize this opportunity to participate in the Annadhana scheme and get the blessings of Sri Abathsahayeswarar and Guru Bhagavan.

  There is parking facility for two, three and four wheeler vehicles outside the temple in front of the East Rajagopuram.

Amirtha Pushkarani: This theertham called Amirtha Pushkarani is located as a moat around the temple.
