Structure: Architecturally, the temple building in the village is note-worthy. The temple is entered by the gopuravasal flanked on either side by the Lord Ganapathi on its right side and Lord Subramaniya with valli-Theivasena to its left. The temple is facing East. Infront of the temple there is a Nandhi facing towards the Lord. “Palipeedam” and Dwajastambha (flag-staff) are located infront of the Nandhi.

There is a Vasantha Mandapam to the left of the entrance. The beautiful Raja Gopuram is having three stories. The sculptures of the Gopuram are made up of brick and Mortar. This village temple consists of the usual outer-wall enclosing the centural shrine and surrounded by smaller shrines. A Pradakshina round the prakara brings one to the entrance mandapa to the temple.

There is Sri swatha Vinayaga shrine (white Vinayaga) in Maha mandapa to the right side of the presiding deity. It is made up of sea-froth and installed by the great Tamil sage Agastiya. It is a rare scene to see Vinayagar with Goddesses siddhi and puddhi. The punniyagavahana Mandapam is then entered by a gateway where in are placed in each side of the entrance the dwarapalagas. The paintings of the following s are made on the walls of the punniyagavahana Mandapam. 1. The scene showing the penance by Bramma on Lord Sargunanathar. 2.

The visit of Eman-destructing servant of God to get rid of his curse. 3. Idumban and Idumbi took holy baths and attained salvation. 4. Workship by Agasthiyar. 5. Wedding events of Lord Sargunanathar. 6.
