Temple Specialty

Thala Virutcham: Shrine Type Description - Prayer Shrine (Six Week Prayer) Mangadu Shrine is a six-week pilgrimage site. In the first week, along with praying for this remedy, one should worship the goddess with two lemons and take home a lemon which the priest of the temple gives to the goddess. That lemon should be worshiped as goddess Kamakshi and placed in the pooja of the house. When the next week comes, take two fresh lemons along with the worshiped lemon at home and worship the Goddess. Similarly, after worshiping for six weeks, on the seventh week, milk should be offered to the devotees who have visited the temple.

It is believed that Amman comes as one of the devotees and buys the milk and drinks it. Thus the six week prayer is the best of this temple. Devotees have seen through experience in their lives that their wishes are fulfilled within six weeks. Sriarthameru Srichakaram Gnani Sri Adhi Shankar, who appeared in the town of Kaladi, Kerala, visited this place and consecrated the 43 thrikonangal Sri Chakra, Apoorva Arthameru, the abode of Shiva Shakti, to quench the Mothers Rudram. This Sri Chakra is made up of eight types of herbs.
