Parigaram: Chennai Sri Ekambareswarar Temple at Sowcarpet in Chennai is dedicated to Shiva and is also an important NavaGragha Parigara Temple. It is believed that worshipping in the temple brings relief from related astrological problems. The temple is more than 1000 year old and houses numerous unique murthis (idols). The main temple is dedicated to Shiva (Ekambareswarar) and Goddess Parvati (Kamakshi). The main murthi worshipped in the temple is a Shivlingam. There is a Sri Chakra in front of the Goddess.

Annadhanam: Annadhana Thittam was also launched in this temple from 15.8.2002. Daily minimum 50 devotees are eating very tasty meals at 12.15 Noon.
