Historical: Location :- The temple is located near the main thoroughfare in the heart of Theperumanallur, 6 km from Kumbakonam. Specialty :- Sri Mahamari Deva and Sri Kalidevi, who are known in our literature as Kadukizhal, Matangi, Chandi, Neeli Suli, Chamundi, Aiyai, are the two goddesses of the people here. In a small temple like Simil, two sanctums for the two goddesses are raised towards the east direction of the Blessed Sundara Mahamariyamma and towards the northern direction of the Blessed Sundara Maha Kaliamma.
Services
Annadhanam: Food is given to 50 devotees who visit the temple daily. The Annadhanam Scheme has been operational since 15.08.2002. Those who wish to donate can participate in the donation program by paying Rs.1,750/- per day at the temple Or in case of paying Rs.25,000/- as an investment, it is arranged to invest the amount and with the interest earned from it, devotees can make the above alms donation on any day of the year. This is subject to change. 80 income tax exemption for those who make payments to the Annadhanam scheme. One can pay for alms as per ones choice.
