Historical: The fragrance of the flower can spread far and wide in the forests of the region During the exile, the Pandavas lived in hiding for a while. Draupadi loves the fragrant lily and asks Bhima to pick it. When Bhima came to Tirukulakkarai, a huge monkey spread its long tail and blocked the way to the pond, doing penance. Bhima took the tail in his authoritative voice and asked to give way. Bhima thought that the monkey was old and could not move its tail, so Bhima asked him to take the tail and put it away and make a way.

That old monkey was Anjaneya. lifting the tail Bhima, who thought it was a very easy task, used all his strength to lift the tail and tried to move it, but he could not move it. Thinking that only Sri Anjaneya could be stronger than him in this world, Bhima bowed his hands and surrendered and sought his blessings. To Bhima, Sri Anjaneya also gave a flower with 1000 petals He showed his visvarupa and preached. It is known as Tennakadwaraka, Govinda Vinnakaram and Gopinatha Vinnakaram. In the Sri Gopinatha Temple, Sri Sathyabhama Sri Rukmani Samedara is graced by Sri Gopinatha Perumal. Behind them Sriman Narayanan in Sudhai form, Sri Rama and on the other side Sri Krishna in Sudhai form. The temple had a beautiful chariot and chariot running streets.
