Historical: The temple is located in the holy land of Anna Nagar, the capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, the southern part of India. The sacred land is home to the Arulmigu Sri Siddhi Vinayagar, Arulmigu Kailasanathar Perumal, Spadika Lingam, Arulmigu Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subramania Swamy, Arulmigu Navagraha, and the Arulmigu Magaliyamman Temple, which is located in Plot No. 3895 21 R Block, Fourth Main Road, Anna Nagar, Mullam Village, Chennai District, Tamil Nadu. When the Tamil Nadu Housing Board acquired the area and divided it into residential plots and d Anna Nagar, only the place where the Arulmigu Sri Magaliyamman and Saptha Kannika, which were very ancient and existed hundreds of years ago, was reserved for the temple. On the land thus allotted, the members of the Arulmigu Magaliyamman Sangam, the beneficiaries and devotees established the Arulmigu Magaliyamman shrine and the Arulmigu Sri Siddhi Vinayakar shrine on 25.04.1975 and the new temple kumbabhishekam was performed according to the Agama rules.

In 1977, the Arulmigu Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subramania Swamy shrine and the Navagraha shrine were established and the kumbabhishekam was performed according to the Agama rules. Furthermore, on 14.09.1988, the Punarawardhana Jeernotharana Ashtabandhana kumbabhishekam was performed by the beneficiaries under the Hindu Religious Administration Department and the new kumbabhishekam was performed by the Arulmigu Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subramaniar Arulmigu Magaliyamman Sri Siddhi Vinayakar Utsava Idol. On 20.02.2003, a new Kumbabhishekam was performed by the devotees and a Spadika Lingam was arranged in the name of the Most Venerable Sri Kailasanatha Peruman. When Mullam was a village, the people of the area worshipped the venerable Sri Magaliyamman and the Saptha Kannis as the village deity and the family deity. They also worshipped the goddess of the border and as their protector. It is believed that Ambal has more power because it is the border. On 25.04.1675, a royal tree was planted as the sacred tree of this temple. In this temple, two daily Nithya Pooja and Rahu Kala Pooja are performed daily, on Tuesdays and Fridays, special anointing worship is performed by the devotees on Sankadahara Chaturthi in the evening for the venerable Sri Siddhi Vinayagar Peruman, special anointing worship is performed by the devotees on the two Pradosha days in the month of Spadika Lingam, morning anointing worship is performed by the devotees on the full moon day, and evening Kumkum is offered to the venerable Sri Magaliamman.

Archanai Puja will also be held. Special abhishekam aradhana will be performed by the devotees on the Krithigai and Valarpirai Sashti of the Blessed Sri Valli Deivanai. Important festivals On the day of Ganesha Chaturthi in the month of Avani, the procession of the Blessed Sri Siddhi Vinayaka, the Blessed Sri Magali Amman, the Blessed Sri Valli Deivanai Sametha Sri Subramania Swami is being held in a special way by the devotees. On the last Sunday of the month of Aadi, the Koolvartal ceremony and Annadanam are being held in a special way by the devotees. During the Navaratri that falls in Purattasi, Navakalasa Puja Homam, Special Abhishekam, Laksharchanai Chandi Homam are being held in a special way by the devotees. In the month of Masi, Ekadasa Rudra Parayanam, Rudra Homam and Rudra Abishekam are being performed very well for the divine Kailasa Nath Peruman on the evening of Shivaratri. 108 Sangabhishekam is being performed very well by the devotees during the Soma weeks of the month of Karthigai. In the month of Aippasi, Ekadasa Kalasa Pooja, Homam, Special Abishekam and Laksharchanai Thirukalyanam are being performed very well by the devotees for the divine Sri Valli Deivanai Sametha Sri Subramania Swamy on the daily basis.

Kumbabhishekam on 25.04.1975, 1977, 14.09.1988, 20.02.2003 and 23.01.2013. Temple worship times are from 6.00 am to 10.30 am and from 5.00 pm to 8.30 pm. Worship times are subject to change during festival seasons.
