Temple Specialty

Prayer: This temple is known as a place of prayer where the famous Lord Murugan resided in Cuddalore district. Here, it is happening daily that the sevarthis get their reasonable demands in writing and get their Pradhu built within 90 days from the date of building, and those whose demands are fulfilled get back the pradhin they gave to Swami. Also, people with incurable diseases stay in this thalam as a mandala or half a mandala and visit Kolanjayappara, rub the body with the Vepenna offered by worshiping at the said shrine and drink it to achieve complete healing. The sevarthis pray for their grievances, and when their grievances are completely resolved, they pay gold, silver, brass, cash, grains, cattle etc. as their fine debt to the temple, which makes this temple special. Even today, according to the Sekhi peoples saying, Varanach Chevalodu Varamail Kulagan Vittan was offered to Lord Muruga to get Nagan Kannappa as his son.
