    SPECIALTIES OF THE TEMPLE THALA VIRUTCHAM VET PALAI TREE The Thala Virucham of this temple is Vet palai tree. The devas appeared on this hill as Vet palai trees to pray to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha. Since the Vet palai milk is very cool, it is very beneficial for the body to come around this hill on the full moon day.

    HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TEMPLE Special Description 1. Dakshina Agopilam. 2. The mountain where the gods do penance as trees. 3. It is the best place of prayer request. 4. The face of Lakshmi is on the face of a lion in this temple which is not seen anywhere else. Moreover, Garuda appears with a lions face as a mirror reflecting the face of Narasimha. 5. There are nine Narasimha forms at the bottom of the temple the presiding deity, the small utsavar, the five Narasimhas facing south and one Narasimha on the hill. Since it is based on the Agopila legend, the benefit of the ahobila darshan will be obtained here as well. 6. Those who fast and worship during the saturday week will get the blessings of child. In this way, the parents who give birth to the child pay the Thulabaram and fulfill their vows. 7. For the development of agriculture, the devotees pay the harvest of the first grains cultivated on their land as a Offerings. 8.Devotees light ghee lamps and pray for the removal of enemies from trouble and removal of doshas. 9.Those who worship Lord Venkatesa Perumal on the upper hill will get rid of their debt problems and their sins will be removed.

  • Annadhanam

    The Honble Chief Ministers Innovative Temple Annadhanam Scheme has been implemented in this temple since 2006 and 50 beneficiaries have been provided with mid-day meals to the devotees visiting the temple every day. A sum of Rs.35/- per beneficiary is spent as project cost. Rice, sambar, rasam, kutu, fries, buttermilk, and pickles are served in this lunch. Food is prepared in a hygienic manner in the kitchen of annadhanam hall in the temple and food is served to the devotees daily from 12.15 pm to 01.30 pm. Devotees can come to the temple office in person and collect the receipt by paying it in cash and for the convenience of the devotees, the devotees can make donations online on the temple`s website titled `hrce.tn.gov.in` e-Sevas`. Those who wish to make the payment by cheque and draft (Executive Officer, Arulmigu Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Temple, Avaniapuram) can either come in person or send it by post. Those who donate annadhanam will be exempted from tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
