The temple is named as Analadeeswarar because Lord Shiva danced in the four-faced Yaga Kundamana-Agnikunda when Lord Shiva approached the town to perform the Samharam at the request of the sages who offer it as Agneeswarar. That Yagakunda is now the Easwara Theertham in front of Ambal. This town is called Tushtapuriyam Thotiyam in order to ward off the enemies of the wicked. Benefits of Easwara Theertham In this temple, Arulmigu Analadeeswarar`s condolences are offered to the devotees of Eeswara Tirtha by offering Deeparadhana to Tripurasundari Ambal.
