Prayer: The Lord has arisen in the form of Linga. The Lord is worshiped as Raveeswarar. Avudaiyar Thirukolam towards the east of Moolavar. But one can visit him only by going through the southern gate for darshan. The audyayar surrounding the lingam is square in shape.
Gomukhi of Audhaiyar is located towards the north. In the temple documents, the Lord of this Talat is mentioned as Raveeswarar. Lord Shiva came to be known as Lord Shiva and worshiped Lord Shiva, hence the name Ravi means Sun. This is the place of worship of Vedavyasa who composed eighteen Puranas and Vedas. Hence, this place is named after him as Vyasa Badi. There is a separate shrine for Vedavyasar in Tamil Nadu only in this temple.
