Others: This temple is the 47th among the108 DivyaDesams in the order of performance of Mangalasasanam. This temple is located in the central part of Madurai. This temple holds the privilege of Mangalasasanams performed by Periyalwar and ThirumangaiAlwar on this temple. NalaayiraDivyaPrabandham is indispensable in Vaishanavism. Thiruppallandu is very important part of Prabandham. This Koodalalagar temple is the sacred place where the Pallanducommenced first. This is also a unique Vaishanavite temple which has a Navagraha sanctum. Anyone who worships in this temple by doing Pradakshina (revolving) around the AshtaangaVimana 12 times a day for 48 days will get all his/her wishes fulfilled.

Services

Annadhanam: Annadhanam is provided to 100 people every day in this temple. Devotees can sponsor this scheme by paying Rs.3,500/-per day and meals can be provided on the day they prefer. Every week on Saturdays meals is provided for 200 people under the Special Annadhanam scheme. Devotees can sponsor this special Saturday Annadhanam scheme by paying Rs.12,500/- per day to provide the meals on a Saturday they prefer. The donors to the above schemes can get Income Tax deduction (under section 80G)

  • Vehicle Parking

    Keeping in mind the comfort of the devotees visiting this temple in order to park their vehicles a parking lot has been arranged in the vacant space in front of the temple. Following charges are collected for parking the vehicles here: Vehicle parking charges (in Rupees) 1.) Two-wheelers Rs.10/- 2.) Cars, vans Rs.30/- 3.) Mini bus and heavy vehicles Rs.100/-

  • Wheel Chair

    Two wheel chairs have been placed in the north side of f Rajagopuram entrance of the temple. This is being used to ensure very comfortable darshan for the differently abled. Name of the Wheel Chair Operator R.Marikannan Contact number 8667018791

  • Drinking Water R.O.

    Keeping in mind the comfort of the devotees visiting this temple, drinking water purified using osmosis technology is being provided. For this purpose Reverse Osmosis water purifier plants have been established at 2 places within the temple. Within them purified water has been affixed and put to use in the SokkattanMantapam of Thayar sanctum and the Aandal sanctum premises.

  • Hema Pushkarani

    Hemapushkarani tank in located within the temple, in the southeast side of the Kodimaram (flagpole) . Every year Brammorchavam festival is conducted in the month of Vaigaasi and Theerthavari is conducted during the Maasi tank festival times.

  • perumal theppakulam

    The PerumalTheppakulam (Tank) belonging to the temple is located in the Madurai Townhall road which is less than 0.5 kms away from the temple. In this tank every year on the day of Magam star in the Tamil month of Maasi, Theppam festival is conducted.
