This temple is a place of prayer for cattle. If the cattle come to this thiruthalam to get well, take thirtham and sprinkle it on the cattle, they will get well.Goat, cow, chicken and dog vehicles are sold in this Thiruthalam. The visiting devotees buy these vehicles and perform puja and worship. Gopinath, who is the protector of cattle, comes to the shrine and has darshan of Swami.
