Temple Specialty

Prayer: This place is a prayer place. The temple was built in the 17th century during the British rule. Aippasi month pramotsavam will be held very well here. The festival is conducted after taking orders from the goddess through the cowli (lizard). If the order is not given, the festival will not take place that year. The Festival Goddess is designed exclusively by Sudhai.

This goddess does not enter the temple. The main gate of the temple is kept closed including Kanthirappu Mandapam from the birth hall, and the general public is also not allowed to see it. Devotees offering prayers during festivals buy earthen dolls and break them in front of the guardian deity Boodharani in the north prakaram. This is unique in other temples. She is a very powerful goddess. Those who seek boon of children and those who are not married come to this temple and then their prayers are fulfilled. So the devotees pay their dues during the festival. The practice of giving tirtha after daily pooja is also here in Amman shrines.
