Thirumalaiurayaperumal Temple

Prayer: Ramakkal is a mountain peak west of the town at the foothills of the Western Ghats on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border. On the other side of the hill there were a lot of cowsheds at that time. Dairy farmers graze cows from the hills They are kept in a barn at night. They also use the milk from the cows and send the rest to the town at the foot of the mountain. The milkman, who carries the milk daily along the Ramakkal hill route, stumbles and spills milk on a daily basis after reaching a certain place. The next day the milkman carried an ax with the public carrying the milk.

The ax cut the root-like part that was protruding from the top of the rock. What a surprise that the ax-wielding milkman fainted as soon as blood flowed from the area where the ax had been cut. After a while he fainted and with a sort of surprise the milkman joined the house. That night the chief of the town, Zamindar, in their dream, appeared to the Lord as the cause of this miraculous event and showed the milkman the place of wonder and I myself appeared there. He disappeared saying that he would build a temple for me in that place and protect the village and the people. The news spread throughout the city through the Zamindar.

All the people of the village together with the zamindar built a temple and worshiped. Over time, only the present-day city of Gombe is located six kilometers east of Tirukoil. Renganathar, the original deity of the temple, is still blessed with the temple at the same place where only Thirumalairaya Perumal performed a miracle
