Temple Specialty

Parigaram: Sage Romasa, a disciple of Agathiyar, asked the Guru to perform Linga Dedication at various places on the banks of the river Thamiraparani and to suitable places. Agathiyar said that the lotus flowers worshiped by Lord Shiva should be thrown in the Tamiraparani and the linga should be consecrated wherever they land. Accordingly the rosary lotus flowers were let out into the water, and the 9 flowers bloomed in 9 places. Romansar consecrated everything in these places. These were called Nava Kailaya sites. Since there are nine new planets, each place is assigned to each planet.

Papanasam, the first of the Navagai temples, belongs to the first planetary sun. It is also known as the solar site and the solar workshop! Natarajar stood between Nandis horns and gave a dance darshan to Vyakrabhadra and Patanjali on a Thaipusam. So here in Thaipusam, special pujas are performed to protect Nandi. There is a Ural before Ambal Ulagammai Sannidhi. In it the women put the finger yellow and smash it. The anointing of Ambal is done with this yellow.

It is believed that if one drinks a little of the anointed yellow theertham, one will get the blessings of marriage and Buddhahood and the women will be burdened to settle. This is the perfect place to adopt children if they have a planetary or horoscope problem. If you drink a little of the anointed yellow theertham for the world, you will get the blessings of marriage and Buddhahood, and women will be burdened to solve.Swami, it is said that all the sins will be solved if the anointing of Ambal and the wearing of the robe are fulfilled.
