  The Shri Adinath Temple was once on the banks of the copper river. They then pushed the north bank of the river in order to make the temple and town bigger, and built barricades and staircases. The Shri Adinath Temple and the Puliyama tree were strewn with the river. Apuliyamaram, Ponthayiram, Puliyayiram, now called as a sleeping tree attracting devotees. Swami Nammavarvar in Alwarthirunagari, the place where the three great Acharyas, Sri Ramanujar, Manavalamuni, etc., became the Divya Desam, which made it great.

  Facilities are provided for devotees to donate whatever they can in cash or in kind.

• Annadhanam

  Thoothukkudi district Eral taluk Alwarthirunagari Arulmigu Athinathar Alwar Temple it conducts daily at 12.30pm.Free meals distributes daily to 50 devotees. The persons like to donate for free meals, may participates in this scheme by donating Rupees 2500/-in the temple towards one day expense or another is available that if deposit Rupees 25000/-free meals would be distributed from the interest of the deposit in any one of the days in the year, likes by the donator. The donator may donate through on-line also. Contributions made to the Annadhanam scheme are exempted from tax under sec 80(G) of the income Tax Act 1961.

  When the temple is open, you can visit the office and get the wheelchair facility. Temple staff are ready to do their KAINKARYAM.

  For the convenience of the devotees visiting the temple, the facilities of bath room and toilets have been made on behalf of the temple.

  For the benefit of the devotees visiting the temple, a water purification facility has been established in the inner hall of the temple

• Library Facility

  The temple library has facilities for sitting reading of spiritual books, Nalayara Divvya Prabandham, daily newspapers and all temple related books.

Tank Information

Alwar Temple tank: Perumal Theppam will be held on 10/3/2023 in the month of Masi followed by Nammalwar Achariyar Theppam Utsavam on 11/3/2023.
