    In this holy temple on 23.04.2022 a scheme of distributing Prasadham for the devotees was introduced. This will be given for the whole day whoever visit the temple. The details are 1. 6 am to 7 am - Panchamirtam 2. 7 am to 10 am - Kalkandu saatham 3. 10 am to 3 pm - Samba saatham 4. 3 pm to 7 pm - Puli saatham 5. 7 pm to till closing the temple - Thinaimaavu urundai

  • Prayer

    The Maruthamalai can be called as hill of herbal medicines which is known for many rare herbs with medical values are there. These divine quality herbs with medical values is boon to the mankind and are good enough to cure the diseases of mind and body. The hill temple can be reached either by claiming the stone steps or can be reached by road in vehicles. While climbing the hill temples of Lord Muruga in the stone steps, there is Lord Vinayaka blessing the devotees, He is called Thaanthonri Vinayaka which means as self evolved moorthi. After the ofering prayers submitted to Lord Vinayaka, if the devotees claim up the steps they can see the Idumban temple. Over there and right above it is beautifully carved mandapam, in which there are beautiful images of horse shoes. The devotees believe that the impression of those horse shoes are of the harse on which Lord Subramanya himself. Lame riding right at the end of the steps, just opposite, the steps lead us to the temple is Aadhimoolavar temple. In this shrine Lord Shri Subramanya is with his consor is Valli, Deivanai and they exist there in the &ampldquoLinga Form” to bless the devotees. It is the age old self made divine Linga Form of Lord Subramanya. This is the divine speciality of this Maruthamalai temple. On trekking above after dharshan, we can see Pancha Vruksham korakattai, Ichi, Aalamaram, Vakkornai maram and Orrumaram all trees in one place looking like a single tree is a virtual delight to see for the devotees. Under the tree is seated Lord Panchamuga Vinayagar Lord Ganapathi with five faces blessing the devotees who come to the temple. This is so special and unseen in any other temple. Pambatti Siddhar is one among the 18 siddhars who worshipped Lord Muruga and it is believed that swamy appeared before him in the form of snake. To strengthen this incident the rock in the temple naturally formed looks like a snake which is so special and divine apart from this main deity Subramanya Swamy Southern side Lord Patteeshwarar temple, norther side goddess Maragathambigai sannathi are located. The main deity here is appearing here in the form of somasundar thirukolam. (that is inbetween Lord Shiva and Parvathi Devi)

  • Annadhanam

    Annadhanam Scheme is one of the Welfare Schemes announced by Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and it was commenced on 23.02.2002 in this Temple. Annadhanam is offered for about 100 Persons after Utchikala Poojaj in Temple. Deposits can be made, for one day alms giving seva which is performed in the name of that devotee. By giving such donation, the devotee is provided with IT (Income Tax) exemption through 80G clause (127(1)//2010-11dated 25.08.2011)

  • Donation

    Cash (in Indian and foreign currencies), money orders, postal orders, net banking services, checks or demand drafts, debit / credit cards, all kinds of donations and donated items are accepted by devotees to fulfill their prayers. This donation is used for the day-to-day management of the temple, catering to the food and accommodation needs of the devotees and providing first aid medical services to the poor.

  • Wheel Chair

    Wheelchairs for differently-abled devotees who come for darshan in this temple are kept near the flagpole.

  • Free Footwear Stand

    Also on the right hand side of the footpath start for the devotees to leave their colonies safely for the use of the devotees. There is also a free shoe storage station to the right of the start of the uphill trail

  • Hospital

    The first aid hospital facility for the use of the devotees in this temple is located on the hill near Mudikanikai Mandapam, on the left side of the steps

  • Golden Chariot

    Near the Rajagopuram there is a Golden Chariot room. The devotees who wish to offer this prayers to this golden chariot muruga has to pay Rs.2000/- . The Golden charriot will be illuminated and Lord Subramanya will around come the temple everyday at 6 P.M and those who have registered for the same will come along with the chariot.

  • Toilet Facility

    There are 20 separate toilets and refreshments facilities available near the tonsure shed 10 for male and 10 for female maintained hygienically.

  • Bath Room Facility

    There are 4 separate bathing rooms (2 for male and 2 for female.)

  • Vehicle Parking

    There is a spacious vehicle parking available in maruthamalai. On the top of the hill in the below the divine adobe of Lord Subramanya, There is enough space for parking two wheelers and four wheelers.

  • Tonsure Facility

    There is shed with facility near the medical centre for the devotees to offer their hair. This is fully a free service.

  • Thulabharam Facility

    The Thula Bhara is near the Navagraha temple. The devotees can offer thula bharam prayers with fruits or coins.

  • Temple Bus Service

    There are three mini buses available for the devotees to climb the hill and pay their prayers and homages to Lord Subramanya. It charges is Rs.10/- per person which is very reasonable for any devotee from streatum of income.

  • Huts / Cottages

    There are 10 small Guest houses known as kudils in Maruthamalai roof hill below the hill range which are well maintained for the use of important devotees.

  • Drinking Water R.O.

    There are two pure, clean drinking water terminals available. One is near the hill station car parking foot wears and another one is near pambatti siddhar temple, with the capacity of 500 litres. The one near the shoe footwear stand is of 1500 litre capacity there is one R.O. Plant dedicated for the use of the devotees.

  • Ear Boring Room

    Ear borring facilities is there which has been d near the main adobe. The facility is exclusively made for the devotees and the child ear borring ceremony happens with permission given to the close kith and kin and parents of the child.

  • Conduct of Marriage

    Marriages and functions facilities available on the top of the hill and in the main mandapam the marriages are conducted. For conducting the marriage at maruthamalai the temple, administration collect application attached with evidence from both the parties of the marriage. The details in the application will be checked thoroughly and along with the parents acceptance then only they will be permitted.
