    The Dosa Prasatham distributes to the devotees is very familiar in Alagarkoil. No such prasatham is available in any other temple.

    The guardian deity of this temple is Pathinettampadi Karuppanasamy. Karuppanasamy has been blessing many people in the surrounding areas as a family deity and a guardian deity for this eighteenth century. Devotees from various regions come here to pay their respects.

    One of the 108 Divya Desams, it is also known as South Tirupati. The complex is situated within a massive fort with sky-high walls spread over an area of about 92 acres, making it unique. Also this temple is called Narasimha temple. It has a history of more than 3000 years. Enter into first holy round from Munaiyarayan holy mandapam. From this holy round, can see the round shape tower remains on round shape sanctum. This tower is in the name of &ampldquoSomasanth Vimanam&amprdquo. Assume that the name come to this tower is in round shape like moon (Soman) Mangalasasanam poems (Auspicious Songs) pride through 108 poems by six Alwars namely Nammalwar, Peyalwar, Thirumangai Alwar, Booththalwar, Periyalwar and Andal. The deity Andal prayed to &amplsquoAkkara Adisil&amprsquo Neivathyam (Food to God) for the marriage with Lord Maha Vishnu As the deity Andal has not d the above obligation, the same was d by Lord Ramanujar on 27th day of Markazhi Tamil month. This obligation is called as &amplsquoWin the Koodar&amprsquo. When Lord Kallalagar visits river Vaigai on Horse Vahanam, during Chitra festival, He used to wear the garland of Andal. When Lord Kallalagar appears in Vaigai River during world famous Chithra festival, He shows grace to the devotees for 140 hours, out of temple at the distance of 70 k.m.

  • Holly Tank

    Arulmigu Rakaiyamman Temple is located above the Arulmiku Murugan Temple at Alagarmalai. In Vamana Avatar, one of the Dasavatharas, Tirumals foot measured the earth and the sky, when he went to heaven, when Lord Brahma performed the foot worship with the holy water of Agaya Ganga, on the foot of Tirumals foot called Nupuram, the said thirtham was given and it came down to earth. Nupuraganga Theertham on top of the said Alagarmalai. As the guardian deity of this theertham, the auspicious Rakkaiyamman is showering his blessings. This Nupuraganga Theertha is celebrated as a holy Theertha by the people of the surrounding areas. This tirtha is also revered for its medicinal properties.

  • Annadhanam

    It conducts daily at 12.00 noon. Free meals distributes daily to 100 devotees. The persons like to donate for free meals, may participate in this scheme by donating Rs.3,500/- in the temple towards one day expense or another facility is available that if deposit Rs.35,000/-, free meals would be distributed from the interest of the deposit in any one of the days in the year, likes by the donator. The donator may donate through on-line also. Contributions made to the Annadhanam Scheme are exempted from tax under Section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act 1961.

    There is a Guest house for devotees near the bus stand of this temple. It has 28 rest rooms, 2 large halls, 3 small halls and 4 toll free halls.

    Devotees can offer items weight by weight as per their wish. This facility has been established near the Peskhar office

    There are five points of drinking water plants in the temple premises for the benefit of devotees.

    There is religious library in this temple. It consists of History and Vaishnava books and it opens during office hours for the use of devotees and public.

    Parking facility is available to park two wheelers and four wheelers in temple campus. Two-wheeler parking near storage room, Four wheeler parking is also available near Thiruther Shed

    Battery cars are plying from the bus stand (Eranian fort entrance) to temple main entrance. it is a free service provided by the temple administration. This service is very useful to the devotees especially to the elders and children.

  • Tonsure Facility

    Tonsure building is located opposite to the 18padi Karuppanasamy sannathi, extended as 3146Sq.ft. Five barbers are giving service who are appointed by the temple.Tonsure service is provided to the devotee at free of cost.

  • First Aid Medical Centre

    The First Aid Medical Center is functioning from 5.30 am to 9.30 pm .It is located in the temple premises near the Devotee Guest house,with free of cost.

  • Cloak Room

    A storage room (Cloak Room) has been set up near the bus stand for the safe keeping of the belongings of the devotees at free of cost.
